Programs
Basic Pistol
The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.
Women On Target
Women On Target® provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper use of all the firearms included in Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics.They provide a thorough introduction to firearm safety, handling, and shooting skills. The Clinic encourages participants to take the next step by participating in our additional sessions customized to help women continue their training.
Personal Protection Inside The Home
This course is to teach you the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense .
Basic Rifle
The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course introduces you to the education, skills, and temperament necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. Through this course, the students will learn about rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, rifle shooting fundamentals, and rifle shooting activities. The Basic Rifle Shooting Course will also help prepare the you for participation in other NRA courses.
Range Safety Officer
Upon completion of this lesson, you should be able to:
•Understand the NRA’s Range Safety Officer Course goal.
•Explain the procedure for becoming an NRA Range Safety Officer.
•Explain the goal of the NRA Range Safety Officer Course.
To develop NRA Certified Range Safety Officers who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
ASP Instructor
This field-level certification program is designed to acquaint participants with operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton, Tactical Restraints and/or Performance Flashlights. The training includes basic portation (carrying) and presentation (drawing) techniques as well as defensive application procedures. Certification acknowledges that the individual officer met a competency-based standard of knowledge and performance.
